The INKOM is the general introduction week for all students of Maastricht University, Zuyd Hogeschool and Vista College. The INKOM is one of the most significant events in Limburg. During the INKOM, you will meet many new people, and you will get to know all aspects of Maastricht and its student life, such as sports, culture and student associations. The INKOM will take place in August, two weeks before the start of the academic year.

During the INKOM, you will get to know all aspects of Maastricht. Attention is paid to general information about the city and studying in Maastricht. In addition, you will also become acquainted with all cultural, sports, study and student associations in Maastricht. Attention is also paid to music, dance, cabaret, diversity and inclusiveness and many other relevant aspects for students. Together, this forms the INKOM the perfect preparation for your student days!

The INKOM is intended for all first-year bachelor and master students of Maastricht University, Zuyd Hogeschool & VISTA College. If you are a Master's student, you can indicate this when registering so that you will be placed in a Master's group. The INKOM is also frequently visited by international students, namely about 53%. You can indicate when you register whether you prefer to be placed in a Dutch or English-speaking group. We try to take your preference in account when composing the groups, but unfortunately we cannot give any guarantees.

No, absolutely not! The INKOM is a week full of fun activities to get to know new people and the city. The INKOM is a week full of information and activities and cannot be compared to an initiation. You are not obliged to attend all activities of the INKOM when you register. You choose yourself where you want to be.

A ticket for the INKOM  gives you access to all activities excluding the MECC parties, for this you can buy separate tickets.

Participants who register for INKOM will get exclusive access to the INKOM app, an INKOM bag (richly filled with information about Maastricht student life), and access to all INKOM events with the exception of MECC-Parties. Single tickets will be sold for these parties.

For external participants wishing to attend Summer Valley, a separate ticket can be purchased for 7.50 EURO. PLEASE NOTE: Entry for Summer Valley is already included in the ticket for Mentors and General INKOM tickets.

You can register via the website until one week before INKOM starts. Please note, full is full! So be quick. In recent years, the INKOM has always been sold out. It is then no longer possible to buy a participant ticket.

It is impossible to cancel or get your money back when you have registered for the INKOM. We recommend that you only register for the INKOM if you are sure that you have been selected for your study. On top of that, you bought a personal ticket, therefore it is not possible that somebody else uses your ticket.

Of course! INKOM does not offer food included in the ticket. Food can be bought/brought on own accasion. During some of the events Foodtrucks will be present, to buy food.

It can be helpful to have the following items in your pocket: Cash, ID, debit card, credit card, insurance card, loaded public transport card, your INKOM ticket (paper or on your phone), your phone (including data connection) and a bicycle.

Remember that the entire INKOM is a cashless event, cash is therefore not necessary.

If you lodge with someone else, it is helpful to have the following with you: toiletries, a towel, enough clothes, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, sportswear (if you want to participate in the Workouts), shoes that you can walk in for a week, an umbrella, raincoat and of course a good mood! If you stay overnight with someone, this is entirely at your own risk.

If you need help and your mentors can't help you, you can contact the Central Post, which is open 24/7. The Central Post is located at Tapijnkazerne 3, 6211ME Maastricht. You can also reach the central post at +31 (0) 43 388 53 35. In addition, someone from the Central Post is present at every INKOM event. You can recognize them with the sweaters and polo shirts.

At the outdoor events of the INKOM there will be no lockers available. At the big parties in the MECC there will be lockers. These lockers can be rented in advance or during the parties. Please note that the locker system is a full = full system.

For parties at the MECC, the following times apply when the doors will close.

• INKOM Live!: 1:00 am
• Heineken Night: 1:00 am

So make sure you go to the parties in the MECC on time!

At the other events, the doors will close as soon as the event is over.

You can top up money to your INKOM wristband via the official INKOM app or via the website (inkom.tactile.events). If you have enough credits on your INKOM wristband, you can pay at the bar with this wristband. Put your hand on one of the scan terminals at the bar and order your drinks/food. The money will be automatically deducted from your account.

In the official INKOM app or via the website (app.tactile.events) you can upload money to your INKOM wristband. Here you can also see your balance left on your account.

You can recharge your wristband via the official INKOM app or via the website: app.tactile.events. Here you will be redirected to different payment methods. If you are unable to recharge money via your phone, please come to the Helpdesk during the events.

Your remaining balance in your INKOM account will be automatically refunded after the INKOM. This can take up to one month after the INKOM before the money is in your account. The money will be refunded to the account number that was last used to upload money.

Make sure you keep your wristband with you and go to the Central Post (Tapijnkazerne 3, Maastricht). Here you will receive a new bracelet.

Disconnect your band in the app and come to the Central Post (Tapijnkazerne 3, Maastricht). Here you can get a new wristband.

You can also visit the app via: app.tactile.events. When you log in, you can see your personal program, register for specific time slots, chat with your group mates, load money onto your wristband and more!

On the first day of INKOM during the Registration in the morning, you will receive an INKOM wristband. This wristband allows you to pay and gain access to our events, so make sure you always have your wristband on! You can top up your balance with the official INKOM app and via app.tactile.events. Paying with cash is NOT possible at our events.

Within your INKOM group it is possible to transfer money to your group members and mentors. You can do this via the app or via app.tactile.events. On the payments page, you can click on 'send'/'transfer' to transfer the money. You can also get an anonymous debit card from the helpdesk at all events. On this card anyone can top up money.
